Alexandra helped me in running my first cohort, when I was nervous about how it would turn out. She gave me advice to limit the number of scholarships and showed me how to get more strangers to join.

Christin Chong, Ph.D.

Alexandra creates a psychologically safe space for people to learn and ask questions. I learned a lot from her about live online learning through Maven and Write of Passage.

Imagine teaching what you love from the comfort of your home

You could scale your impact, become a thought leader, create a new income stream, and so much more.

But I know the path to these outcomes is tough on your own. You end up making rookie mistakes, reinventing wheels, and struggling with uncertainty. And as you near your course start date, you’ll question things like:

  • Are my students going to be disappointed?
  • Will I get everything done in time?
  • How am I going to fill my cohort?
  • Am I forgetting anything?
  • And so on.

But you don't have to go it alone

And course creation isn't complicated

Maybe it just feels like it is because you’ve tried things that haven’t worked. You may have tried setting deadlines, taking courses, and collecting as much info as you possibly can about creating a course—but you still don't feel "ready."

Maybe you’ve done a course accelerator only to find yourself at your most vulnerable point once it ended. Once the course structure faded away you were at a loss for how to get guidance and feedback. Sure, you may have friends you gelled with who you can turn to for advice. But they’re also first-timers, so despite their best efforts they can’t instill the same level of confidence as someone more experienced.

I say this having coached dozens of course creators through accelerators and witnessed the drop-off when it ended. But the good news is I’ve created a new offering to spare you a similar fate—of never launching your dream course or gaining recognition as the teacher you’re meant to be.

A Warm Welcome From Me (Alexandra)

My Background

I've helped 50+ experts create scalable cohort-based courses. I've worked with top industry players such as Maven, Write of Passage, and District 3 startup hub.

I studied Learning Design & Technology at Harvard Extension School and I'm a certified Project Manager. I've also worked on global teams based in Canada, the UK, Australia, and France.

Why I Created This Course

I've seen 100s of course creators fail. A lack of structure has left many experts unable to get their course from 0 to 1 and beyond—until now.

Now, I've packaged the best of what I've learned into a Project Management framework. This is the first of its kind for you to build a scalable course at 10x the speed (without overwhelm).

When You Join, You Get Access to 4 Resources:

1️⃣ 🧠 A self-paced course on how to market, build, and run your first cohort in 12 weeks or less (even if you have a small audience). You can work through the content from start to finish or cherry pick from it as necessary. You're also free to disregard it and build your course however is most intuitive to you.

2️⃣ 💻 Weekly drop-in hours to ask questions, test content and build confidence in your course material. Optional sessions are held Tuesdays from 8-9am and 2-3pm ET and Thursdays from 2-3pm ET. Attend as many as you like.

3️⃣ 💬 A Discord community to ask questions and get feedback asynchronously (I use Loom videos and writing to respond to these requests). You can count on others doing the same. And by reciprocating you’ll develop a sharper eye for the dos and don'ts of being a world-class online teacher.

4️⃣ 💡 Priority booking for one-to-one coaching sessions with me (which can be purchased for an additional fee of $350 USD per hour) to go deeper on anything you’d like my feedback on.

All four resources can be used as you like. There’s no minimum (or maximum) usage requirement. And you’ll have indefinite access to them.

Course Framework

This 5D course-building framework (which I've developed over years of work) will help you launch, build, and run your first cohort in 12 weeks or less—even if you have a small audience.

Get Help Filling Your Cohorts

Filling your cohort is one of the biggest challenges for course creators with small audiences. And one of the biggest stressors. But you don't need a big audience to fill your cohorts. That's a common myth that the course and community will help you debunk so you can fill your cohorts no matter what the size of your audience is.

De-Risk Peer Feedback

Peer feedback is great—assuming it’s good advice. But have you ever accidentally sent someone in the wrong direction when they asked you for directions on the street? I have—and I wish someone had been there to correct me. Fortunately, I’m that person for the course community.

I facilitate drop-in hours and manage the community platform. That means I’ll respectfully jump in with thoughts if I disagree with peer feedback to ensure everyone stays on the right track.

Avoid Unnecessary Stress

A lot of time-sensitive questions come up as you near the start date of your course. Not to mention during your live cohorts. Things will go wrong but you’ll recover and power on. But here’s what’s vital.

You need fast responses from people you trust to soundboard your ideas. And it can be tough to get those responses, if you’re not plugged into the right network or community.

That’s why I’ve launched this course and community. So people like you, who aim to make a name for themselves while empowering others to follow in similar footsteps, have somewhere to turn at every stage of your course creator journey—from launching to scaling.

Start Small

You don’t have to be poised to build your course right away to join the course and community. A big part of testing your course concept is running free workshops to begin with. It's a chance to get in the driver’s seat without committing to getting on the autoroute and hitting the accelerator the way you would for a full blown course.

You can ease your way into the process by first observing how other members of the course community have gone from 0 to 1 (i.e., idea to impact) with their courses. I personally find inspiration to be the best starting point for course-building. Not to mention, you can mine the course community for tips and resources.

Create Win-Win Dynamics

Word of mouth referrals are the most powerful form of course marketing. The key to driving them is helping students achieve outcomes in your course. Through this course community and its self-paced content, you'll learn how to design and deliver courses that get students results they can't wait to tell their friends about.

Pick Your Platform

Most course accelerators are designed to sell you on a specific software. But I realize you have unique needs that warrant an objective evaluation of your options. That's why I'm "platform agnostic." Both myself and members of the course community will help you decide which course platform is best for you and your students.

Get Longterm Value

Course communities are like fine wines, they get better with age. Think about it. There’s a rich knowledge bank that amasses as people who care about live online teaching come together to discuss best practices and innovation. You can be part of it from the comfort of your home.

A Few More Words About Me

Chris Wong

The Maven Course Accelerator was instrumental in creating my course. Alexandra was the Head Teaching Assistant and her help in translating the learning principles into easy-to-understand and implementable mental models was essential.

Sarah Stadler

Alexandra is a remarkable teacher and her sessions were perfectly balanced, with just enough exercises, breakouts, and group discussion. They were also highly relevant each week to how I was feeling, not just what I was doing.
(Sarah was a student when Alexandra mentored
Write of Passage)

Matt Tillotson

Alexandra’s knowledge of online course design comes through in her well-structured sessions that advance students toward their goals. And her feedback on the Write of Passage mentor program has led directly to changes that have improved it.

Kevon Cheung

Alexandra makes course creation simple, easy, and fun. I learned a lot about online facilitation and workshop design from her while we were mentors for Write of Passage. She has a curious mindset and effective ways to creatively solve problems.
